President's Message

Julie

Welcome to the First State Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators website. The Association of Legal Administrators (“ALA”) is an international organization with over 10,000 members representing law firms and corporate legal departments from all over the world.  The ALA was founded in 1971 to promote and enhance the competence and professionalism of Legal Administrators and all members of the management team.

The First State Chapter was established in 1979 and actively supports the mission of the ALA. Members have the opportunity to attend monthly meetings focusing on topics specific to the legal industry or to enhance skills necessary to manage successful law firms. Both formal and informal networking opportunities, such as business partner events, leadership events, socials and community outreach projects are offered throughout the year.

Through this web site, you can meet the leaders of the First State Chapter, access information regarding the Chapter's programs, and view the calendar of events. This site also offers links to other legal resources such as the parent organization of the Association of Legal Administrators.

Sponsorship packages are available to Business Partners who wish to support the First State Chapter and its activities. Through sponsorship, vendors not only gain exposure to the legal community, but also make direct connections with Chapter members. Please make sure to stop by the Business Partner section of this website.  Our Business Partners offer a wide range of services and we are grateful for their support.

To learn more about the First State Chapter, please contact any Board member or join us at monthly meeting. For our current members, please consider a leadership position – either on a committee or on the Executive Board.  The more active you are, the more you will learn, gain and grow.

Thank you for visiting and please come back to this website often for the latest information on programs, events and activities in the Wilmington legal community.

Sincerely,

Julie Dubreuil

First State Chapter President
